Leading Mexican department store chain Grupo Coppel reported plans to invest approximately US$825 million in 2026.  The program is expected to include the establishment of 80 new sales locations, remodeling of up to 100 existing stores and distribution centers and upgrades to operational technology and sustainable energy programs. Mexican grocery and general merchandise retailer La Comer opened its first store in the southeastern state of Quintana Roo via investment of approximately US$61 million, the company reported.  The new sales location becomes the first in the state for La Comer and the company's 91st store in Mexico across its various formats.
